“Nomads-Oasis”
7:00 pmRichard Cameron-Wolfe, Agustín Castilla-Ávila, and Wladimir Rosinskij have teamed up to present “Nomads-Oasis” on August 6, 2022.
The showcase will showcase several U.S. premieres and world premieres.
The program features the debut of Castilla-Ávila’s piece for soprano, guitar, and piano entitled “True love is not a flower;” the U.S. premiere of “Keinem, Junge, lass dir reden” by Rosinskij; and the world premiere of Cameron-Wolfe’s micro-opera “Passionate Geometries.”
Soprano Elisabeth Halliday-Quan performs in all of this works listed. Other performers include pianist Gayle Blankenburg, composer/guitarist Agustín Castilla-Ávila, cellist Ruslana Prokopenko, guitarists Dan Lippel, Oren Fader, William Anderson, Matt Slotkin, flutist Roberta Michel, clarinetist Madison Greenstone, and cellist Caleb van der Swaagh.
The concert will take place at 7 p.m. at the National Opera Center’s Marc A. Scorca Hall.
